TOMMY HEFFERNAN TRIALS
trial in total (not all included here)
average daily gain
The trial aimed to evaluate the efficacy of Precision Microbes in improving the health and growth of bull calves on a dairy farm.
The trial involved 20 bull calves divided into two groups of 10 each. The calves were housed in two separate pens starting from day 3 of their lives until weaning.
All calves were fed whole milk. Each calf in the trial group received a daily dose of 30ml of Precision Microbes.
Calf weights were monitored throughout the trial to assess growth rates. The farmer provided additional data on calf health and any occurrences of diseases.
The trial extended from the third day of the calves’ lives until they were weaned. The farmer has been using Precision Microbes for four years. Continued use of the product is based on observed reductions in the severity and incidence of scour (diarrhoea) among calves
