The trial involved 88 calves in total: 44 in the treatment group and 44 in the control group. Calves were assigned to groups with every second calf born being placed into the treatment group.
The treatment group received 30ml of Precision Microbes twice daily for the first 7 days. Both groups were fed the same milk replacer.
Both treatment and control groups were housed together in the same environment.
